According to Izard County Chief Deputy Charley Melton, a woman who was responsible for the death of a teenager in 2019 will be heading to prison.
Cheryl Lynn Clement, 62, was taken into custody April 5 after a plea agreement was entered in the January 2019 death of 17-year-old Tiffany Marie Russell.
Clement’s blood alcohol content at the time of the crash was almost three times the legal limit of 0.08, according to a report from the state crime lab.
Family members of the victim were in the courtroom during the sentencing and a victim witness statement was read by Deputy Prosecutor Brad Sipe.
