Tommy D. Holland 

January 21, 1945 – July 14, 2020

Tommy D. Holland, 75, of Walnut Ridge passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at Flo and Phil’s Hospice House in Jonesboro. Tommy was born to the late Verman and Pauline Staus Holland on January 21, 1945 in Walnut Ridge. Tommy owned Forget-Me-Not Flower Shop and Rainwater Jewelry for many years, served as mayor of Walnut Ridge for 20 years and was manager of Walnut Ridge Country Club. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge.


Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother, John Holland.
Survivors include two sisters, Geraline Rider of Portia and Cloa Etta Rider of Walnut Ridge; sister-in-law, Lenora Holland of Jonesboro; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends

Visitation will be Friday, July 17, 2020 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. in Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Walnut Ridge. A graveside service will follow Lawrence Memorial Park at 12:30 p.m. in Walnut Ridge with John Durham officiating. All arrangements are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Terry Holland, Scott Holland, Tony Anderson, Jeff Rider, Jim Rider and Dale Rider. Honorary pallbearers are Josh, Adam and Cody Holland, Anthony Rider, Marty Fullen, Craig Rider, Robert Rider and Bobby Rider.                                                                                                                          CDC guidelines requires upon entrance of facility each person must register their name and phone number.  Facial mask are required for anyone over 10 years of age. Social distancing is to be maintained during visitation and graveside service at all times.
