Today the Arkansas State Police released the accident investigation report concerning the death of 56 year old Marshall McDonald of Smithville. According to the report McDonald was driving a 2001 Chevrolet Lumina when he was killed in a vehicle accident on the evening of November 10th near Walnut Ridge.
The report states that a 2002 Mercury traveling on Hwy 67 taking the northbound exit onto Hwy 412 attempting to turn left made contact with the drivers side of the 2001 Chevrolet driven by McDonald.
According to the report, McDonald was pronounced dead at the scene, no other injuries were reported in the crash. Conditions were dry and clear according to the Arkansas State Police.
Walnut Ridge Fire, Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies, Walnut Ridge Police and Hoxie Police assisted with the scene.
