As the current cold front arrived in Lawrence County, high winds were present Thursday causing several trees to fall across the county.
Ravenden Fire Fighters responded to a tree across Lawrence 100, Black Rock responded to a tree down on Hwy 25, Hoxie had a similar call on 2nd Street Thursday morning damaging a power line, Imboden responded to a tree on Hwy 63 south of Imboden.

… Wind Advisory remains in effect until 6 PM CST this evening…
* winds… south winds of 15 to 25 mph… with gusts to 40 mph
will become westerly at 20 to 35 mph… with gusts to 45 to 55
mph.
* Timing… current through 6pm today.
* Impacts… outdoor items… such as large Holiday decorations
will be vulnerable to damage from tipping and being blown
around. There will be difficulty in working on higher elevated
surfaces… as well as difficulty in driving high profile
vehicles on east to west roadways ahead of the front… and
north to south roadways behind the front.
Precautionary/preparedness actions…
A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of 25 to 39 mph are
expected… or gusts will range between 40 and 57 mph. Winds this
strong can make driving difficult… especially for high profile
vehicles. Persons should also secure their loose outdoor
materials and plan on delaying their work on elevated surfaces.
