In a meeting held last night at the Pocahontas Fire Department, Chief Scott Baltz and the entire Pocahontas Fire Department laid out plans to hold a benefit for the Denny and Tiffany Moore Family. The Moore’s lost their 4 month old infant daughter over the weekend.
 
The Fire Department will host the benefit at the M.D. Williams Middle School in Pocahontas at 2 pm on Sunday. A $5 donation for admittance will be collected at the door. Also, the department will raffle  three different firearms to raise money, the first is a Browning BPS Mossy Oak 3 1/2 Magnum Shotgun, a Marlin 17 caliber with a heavy barrel and an NRA 22 caliber pistol. Tickets are $50 each or 3 for $100, 1st drawn has choice from all three, 2nd drawn will have next and so on.
 
Also, the Empty Pockets Band will perform along with the Pocahontas School Band during the fund raiser. Several silent auctions will be held along with other auctions during the event.
 
An account has been set up for donation at the First National Bank in Pocahontas for the Moore Family.
 
Chief Baltz stated all proceeds raised for the Moore Family will go towards hospital expenses and burial expenses and invited everyone to please come out and support this family in their darkest of times.
