Two Trapped And One Ejected In Accident, Lawrence County Sheriff, Walnut Ridge And Hoxie Fire On Scene

Shortly before 9 am on Friday, 911 calls were received and reported an accident on Hwy 67 and 230 in Alicia. Walnut Ridge Fire Department, Hoxie FireÂ Department, Lawrence County Sheriffâ€™s Deputies, AET Ambulance and Arkansas StateÂ Police responded toÂ the accident scene.

Emergency responders arrived on scene to find a passenger car hadÂ struck a tractor, trapping two in the vehicle and ejecting one.

According to reports, the driver of the vehicle reportedly fellÂ asleep, ran off the roadway and struck a tractor, turning the tractor almostÂ completely around. Firefighters worked for nearly and hour cutting the entrappedÂ driver from the vehicle.

The accident is being investigated by the Lawrence County Sheriffâ€™sÂ Office and the Arkansas State Police. Victims were transported to areaÂ hospitals, the names and conditions have not been released at thisÂ time.
