Shortly before 9 am on Friday, 911 calls were received and reported an accident on Hwy 67 and 230 in Alicia. Walnut Ridge Fire Department, Hoxie Fire  Department, Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies, AET Ambulance and Arkansas State  Police responded to the accident scene.
 
Emergency responders arrived on scene to find a passenger car had  struck a tractor, trapping two in the vehicle and ejecting one.
 
According to reports, the driver of the vehicle reportedly fell  asleep, ran off the roadway and struck a tractor, turning the tractor almost  completely around. Firefighters worked for nearly and hour cutting the entrapped  driver from the vehicle.
 
The accident is being investigated by the Lawrence County Sheriff’s  Office and the Arkansas State Police. Victims were transported to area  hospitals, the names and conditions have not been released at this  time.
