Are you at risk?
Of the nearly 26 million Americans living with diabetes, 7 million have diabetes but don’t even know it. Another 79 million have pre-diabetes, which places them at an increased risk for developing Type II diabetes. If the current trends continue, one in three Americans will have diabetes by 2050.
Studies have shown that Type II diabetes can be prevented or delayed by losing just 7% of body weight through regular physical activity (30 minutes a day, five days a week) and eating healthy. By understanding your risk, you can take the necessary steps to help prevent the onset of Type II diabetes.
