On July 29, 2011 the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Dept. arrested Tiffany Strohl (06/03/80) of Smithville for
theft by deception and soliciting money from an incompetent person. The arrest came after a rural
Lawrence County resident from the Lynn area reported that they had about $26,000 worth of checks
taken and used to make unauthorized purchases and payments over a 7 month period. Investigators
tracked Strohl down and questioned her about the checks. Strohl admitted to the investigators that she
had indeed taken the checks and used most of the money for illegal drugs and shopping sprees. Strohl
was placed under arrest and transported to the Lawrence County Jail to await a bond hearing.
