Baxter County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of Jonathan Rouse with assistance provided by the Arkansas State Police.
On Sunday, Jan.30th at 10:49 am the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office was informed by the 911 Center that they were taking reports of a man in a black vehicle intentionally ramming another car.
While enroute, the 911 Center advised officers that the suspect had turned into a residence on CR 901 and was walking around a house carrying a machette. A Lakeview Officer was the first on the scene and took the suspect into custody.
The suspect was identified as Jonathan R. Rouse. Officers also found the machette, which was seized and took into evidence. At the time Rouse was arrested, officers found marijuana on his person.
During an interview with the girlfriend of the suspect, officers learned that Rouse had earlier pulled the machette on her and threatened her with it.
Rouse, 32 years old of Gassville Arkansas was charged with Aggravated Assualt on a Family Member, a Felony. Carrying a Weapon, a Misdemeanor. Possession of a Controlled Substance, Marijuana, a Misdeamor. Bond was set at $5000.00 and a Circuit Court Date of Feb. 17th was set.
