Charles Edward “Eddie” Jones, 62, of Black Rock, went to his heavenly home on Monday, February 27, 2023, doing what he loved, working on his family farm.  He was born February 21, 1961, in Walnut Ridge to Charles Kirkland and Linda Kay (Smith) Jones.  He was united in marriage to Julia Jean Kapales on May 23, 1992, in Hoxie. He took pride in his work as a self-employed handyman.  Eddie was a dedicated member of Portia Church of Christ and a true servant of the Lord. He was a dedicated husband, dad, papa, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend. He loved his community. His hard work ethic led to his lifelong goal of owning a farm and raising cattle.

He was preceded in death by his father, and sister-in-law, Carrie Jones.

Eddie is survived by his loving wife, Julie of the home; mother, Linda Jones of Portia; children, Brandi Davis (Hunter) of Powhatan, Charla Cusson (Steve) of Ravenden Springs, Air Force Staff Sergeant Megan Ben-Tovim (Limor); brothers, Randy Jones of Jonesboro, Troyce  Jones (Julie) of Springdale, Stanley Jones (Tammy) of Portia, Scottie Jones (PJ) of West Memphis, and Kenny Jones of Walnut Ridge; grandchildren, Marine Corps Lance Corporal Gage Eades (Macie), River Davis, Blakley Williams, and Ashley Cusson; Aunt Kay Patterson; mother-in-laws, Pam Allen and Susan Kapales, many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and an abundance of family, friends, and church family. 

Visitation will be Friday, March 3, 2023, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.  Funeral services will follow immediately at 1 p.m. with Robert Davis and Seth Parnell officiating.  Interment will follow in Crossroads Cemetery in Portia under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Megan Ben-Tovim, Gage Eades, River Davis, Junior Jones, Jason Jones, Brandon Jones, Trenton Jones, and Spencer Jones.

Honorary pallbearers will be Hunter Davis, Blakely Williams, Limor Ben-Tovim, Steve Cusson, Stanton Jones, Charles Blankenship, and Clay Blankenship. if desired, donations may be made to the food bank of your choice.
