Authorities in Fulton County report that 37-year-old Jason Southerland illegally took five vehicles from a property in Fulton county and then took them to Rone’s Salvage.
Sheriff’s investigators spoke to the owner of the salvage yard and said that he had titles to four of the five vehicles. He said he traded the running vehicle for the five.
The salvage yard owner stated that Southerland told him he had purchased the vehicles from the deceased owner’s son, which authorities say has proven to be false.
Southerland was arrested and has been charged with felony residential burglary and felony theft of a vehicle.
He was also charged as a habitual offender.
His bond was set at $25,000.
