Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies recovered a weapon believed to be involved in a shooting incident outside Black Rock on Tuesday night.

The weapon was recovered on Lawrence 203 on Wednesday night.

On Tuesday shortly after 9:30 pm authorities responded to an address on Lawrence 215 for a male subject shot in the leg by another male subject.

The suspect reportedly left the scene before authorities arrived in a pickup truck headed toward the Annieville area. Authorities were able to make contact with the suspect shortly after arriving in the area.

Dillon Lewis of Black Rock was arrested by Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies and has been charged with Battery 1st Degree, Driving While Intoxicated and Refusal To Submit To Test. He was taken to the Lawrence County Detention Center.

The unidentified victim was taken to a Jonesboro hospital.

The weapon recovered by authorities described as a Glock pistol is believed to be the weapon used in the shooting. Investigation into this incident continues.
