Authorities arrested Jason Glen Holmes 5/6/1983 of Black Rock after a second standoff with the subject this week.

On Monday night and into Tuesday morning officials spent more than two hours attempting to talk the subject out of a residence in Black Rock after he allegedly made threats to harm himself and others. The suspect was not arrested in this incident.

Authorities were called back to the area twice on Tuesday afternoon, the first call Tuesday afternoon was at 2:57 pm and again at 5:21 pm on Tuesday night.

Law enforcement officers from the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office and Black Rock Police staged at the Black Rock Fire Department before approaching the subject at a residence in Black Rock.

After about an hour, authorities made entry into the residence. The subject was reportedly armed with a knife. Authorities had to tase the subject in order to take him into custody. The subject was checked out by medics, no other injuries were reported in the incident.

Holmes was charged with Felony Criminal Trespassing and Misdemeanor Resisting Arrest.

Holmes was transported to the Lawrence County Detention Center.

Holmes has an extensive criminal history including charges of domestic assault, disturbing the peace, delivery of a controlled substance and battery charges in both Mississippi and Arkansas.
