Rolen Lee “Bud” Hill, 81, of Ravenden Springs, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2023 at his home along with his wife Carolyn Sue Ratliff Hill.
Bud was born April 10, 1941 in Tennessee, IL to the late Ralph and Maxine Davis Hill. He was a 1962 graduate of Ravenden Springs High School and worked as a heavy equipment operator, cattle farmer, and a Randolph County Deputy Sheriff. Bud was a member of Bethany Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Maxine Hill; son, Brian Hill; great granddaughter, Ella Mary Carolyn Hill; brothers, Dolen Hill, Tony Hill, Max Hill, and Wayne Hill; sisters, Carolyn Decker and Wanda Bradley; and sister-in-law, Janette Hill.
Bud is survived by his son, Terry (Lisa) Hill of Ravenden; daughter, Rita Hill of Pocahontas; eleven grandchildren, Danielle (Denny) Thompson, Jerad (Melanie) Jones, Taylor (Hunter White) Smith, Kira (Tori) Hill, Sara Hill, Evan Hill, Olivia Hill, Sophia Hill, Eric (Kaitlin) Hill, Corey (Dauson) Hill, and Logan Hill; thirteen great grandchildren, Landon, Adam, Mason, Maddox, and Waylon Thompson, Hunter and Kailin Jones, Oaklynn, Lydia, and Mason Hill, Joseph and Grayson Ludwick, and Emma White; brother, Lindal (Tammy) Hill of Branson West, MO; sister, Dorothy Hart of Hackett; sisters-in-law, Brenda and Ginger Hill; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Leroy and Bonnie Wilkerson; and many other relatives and friends.
All services for Bud and Carolyn Hill will be held in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday, January 13, 2023 from 5-8 PM. Funeral service will be Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 12 PM with C.C. Baird officiating. Burial will follow in Homestead Cemetery on the Hill Family Farm.
