Authorities say an Izard County woman has been arrested for attempting to bring a controlled substance into the Arkansas Department Of Corrections in Calico Rock.
Angela Gwen Knight, age 43, was at the prison facility for visitation when she failed to pass the standard search and was taken to a designated area for further examination.
Law enforcement discovered a cellophane baggie containing one and a half white pills believed to be hydrocodone.
Knight was arrested and charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance and furnishing, possessing, or using prohibited articles.
Knight is currently being held at the Izard County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond.
