A fuel truck carrying more than 8,000 gallons of fuel was involved in an accident on Hwy 115 outside Smithville on Saturday evening.
At 6:45 pm the accident was reported, Smithville Fire, ProMed Ambulance and Lawrence County Deputies were requested to the scene.
Some minor injuries were reported but no one was transported from the scene.
A fuel leak (Diesel) was reported on the semi cab but the tanker trailer was not reported to be leaking.
Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office along with the Arkansas State Police are investigating the accident.
