One person was stabbed on Saturday at the Cave City Watermelon. Sharp County authorities say that two 20-year-old men were involved in an altercation at the event.

During the physical altercation a knife was pulled and one person was injured with the weapon. The victim suffered a wound on his head according to authorities and was taken to the hospital.

The unidentified suspect was arrested.

Law enforcement also stated there was a festival patron at the scene who pulled out a gun, but it was not fired.

The investigation is still ongoing.
