Jeremiah Thomas Elliott, a young man of 15, passed to his eternal home on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, in an accident near Jesup, Arkansas.
Jeremiah was born on January 2, 2007, to Bo Elliott and Amber Hill in Newport, Arkansas.
Jeremiah was preceded in death by his grandfather, Richard Cunningham. He is survived by his grandparents: Hobe Elliott and Arthur & Barbara (Cunningham) Austin, and his immediate family: Amber (mother), Bo (father) & Erin (adoptive mom), Aden, Helayna, Elias, Zechariah, Sarah, and Georgia; and multiple cousins.
Jeremiah cared deeply for his family and friends. He especially loved his grandpa, Hobe, whom he lived with, and helped in many ways. He would often cook breakfast for him or do other jobs around the house. He spent much of his time helping his dad and Aden with projects around the home place, or playing with his brothers and sisters. His siblings adored him and loved to be with him. Jeremiah was often heard singing at the top of his voice when at home. He enjoyed camping, swimming, drawing, building things, hunting, working, and spending time with his mother and church family. The annual men’s camping trip was always a highlight for him.
Jeremiah graduated after eight years at Strawberry Mennonite School. At school, Jeremiah formed many close friendships and was looked up to by the younger students because of his natural gift with young children. His dependable and steady character was a true blessing. Jeremiah was of a reserved nature but his mischievous grin and the twinkle in his eye was a sure sign of some humor about to show.
Most importantly, Jeremiah loved his Lord Jesus, and was a child of God. He was baptized and became a member of Strawberry Mennonite Church on March 21, 2021, and very faithfully attended Church.
The void among is great, but we rejoice to know that Jeremiah has reached the goal of his life, to rest in the arms of Jesus.
A memorial service for Jeremiah will be held at Strawberry Mennonite Church on Friday, July 1st, 2022.
