Authorities from the Stone County Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday they have arrested a suspect in a quadruple homicide that occurred last month.

Chief Deputy Dammon McGilton announced they had arrested Donnie Lee Trammell, age 54, of Mountain View.

Trammell is charged with four counts of first-degree murder, two counts of burglary, and other charges.

His bond was set at $4 million.

Trammell has been incarcerated in the Stone County Detention Center since April 27.

Authorities say in April, Shirley Watters, age 77 and her son James Watters, age 55 were found dead at a home on Northcutt Road in Mountain View.

Several hours later near the Watters’ home, the bodies of William Trammel, age 75 and his wife, Shirley, age 72, were found shot to death in their home.
