Izard County Sheriff’s Office arrested Timothy Kent, age 52 for failure to register and firearm charges.

According to records the Sheriff’s Office, along with Arkansas Community Corrections conducted a compliance check at the residence.

During the search, law enforcement found a .22 caliber firearm inside the residence, along with two vehicles that Kent failed to register, a condition of his release.

During an interview with Kent, he stated he did not want to answer any questions, but later confessed while walking back to the detention facility.

Kent confessed to possessing the firearm in his home. Kent continued to make statements to investigators implicating himself.

Kent was charged with felony failure to comply with registration and reporting requirements along with felony possession of firearms by certain persons.

His bond was set at $15,000.
