From Jackson County Sheriff’s Office:
At approximately 2:00am on March 30, 2022 while Deputy Harris was on routine patrol in the Possum Grape/Bradford area he encountered an ATV being operated on a public roadway without tail lights. As Deputy Harris attempted to make a traffic stop on the ATV he observed the operator of the ATV later identified as Toni Burress toss something from her person. After Burress was stopped it was found that she had multiple warrants for her arrest. Deputy Harris also located a 9mm pistol in the area he observed her toss something prior to the stop. Burress is a convicted felon and is prohibited from being in possession of firearms. She was subsequently arrested and transported to the Jackson County Detention Center for her outstanding warrants as well as Possession of Firearm by Certain Persons.
