From the Sedgwick Volunteer Fire Department:
The Sedgwick Fire Dept responded to a power line down with damage to the residence. While on scene, we got reports of damage to other residences, road debris, and other power lines down. Sedgwick FD assessed damages with Lawrence Co OEM and cleared roads of hazards.
Also during this time, a motor vehicle accident was reported at Hwy 63 and 228.
Emergency crews reported and helped clear highway. Utility crews are still out fixing the down lines in Sedgwick. Be mindful of them while driving in the area.
Sedgwick Chief Heath Ring reported no injuries in this morning’s incident.
