Fulton County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a convicted sex offender after an incident at a local library.

The Fulton County Chief Deputy was notified by a citizen that Lester Hendrix, age 60, was at the Viola Library using the internet to look at inappropriate material.

Law enforcement arrived and discovered Hendrix in the library viewing inappropriate material. As the officer approached the suspect then turned his tablet face down.

Hendrix admitted that he was looking at inappropriate material.

Hendrix was not only looking at pornography but was using a chat site that Hendrix had been arrested for using in the past.

Hendrix was arrested and transported to the Fulton County Detention Center for further questioning. Hendrix stated that he had been looking at porn and admitting using a device that was not registered according to his requirements after being convicted. He also admitted the email he was using was not registered with authorities.

According to Hendrix’s registry requirements, a convicted registered sex offender is required to register all devices capable of accessing the internet, as well as registering all social media platforms, including all email addresses.

Hendrix was charged with two felony counts for failure to register as a sex offender or report an address change.
