On the evening of December 10, 2021, the Pocahontas Police Department responded to a call of individual(s) attempting to break into vehicles. That night, David Jeik was arrested and charged with 2 counts of Breaking or Entering, 2 counts of Theft of Property, and Obstructing Government Operations. Judge Bigger set his bond at $10,000 cash only.

The Pocahontas Police Department was also made aware of a video that was posted on Facebook, of a male that entered the front porch of a residence located inside the city limits, and stealing a pair of shoes. Through the investigation by the patrol officers, the suspect was determined to be Jeffery Laninruj. Mr. Laninruj was arrested on December 11, 2021 and charged with Felony Drug Paraphernalia and Theft of Property. 

The Pocahontas Police Department is currently actively looking for the other accomplices in this case.Â
