Josh Cooper, of Jonesboro, was arrested on a parole violation on November 18, 2021, and arrested again today by JPD for allegedly stalking a thirteen-year-old on Social Media.

On December 1, 2021, the JPD Internet Crimes Against Children Detectives were contacted by an Arkansas Crimes Against Children Agent requesting a forensic exam of Josh Cooper’s phone. Mr. Cooper is a registered sex offender and has a valid search waiver on file. As a condition of his release, he is not allowed to have access to social media accounts.

The phone was processed by our ICAC Division and during that process, detectives were able to see where Mr. Cooper participated in a conversation with a 13-year-old female. During the first part of the conversation, the juvenile was asked for her age. Several explicit photos and texts were sent during the course of the conversation.

Cooper was arrested today and appeared in court for his Probable Cause Hearing. He received a $50,000 cash-only bond.
