On Saturday the Arkansas Department Of Health released it’s latest COVID-19 update which showed cases trending downward.

739 new cases were reported, active cases fell to 7,667 statewide. An additional 8 deaths were reported bring the state’s death toll to 7,810 since the pandemic began.

Hospitalizations decreased to 563 and patients on ventilators decreased to 175.

Governor Hutchinson stated on Saturday “The current trend continues as active cases have fallen over the past several weeks, but we continue to see hundreds of new cases each day. Getting vaccinated is the best way we can limit the impact of COVID-19 and reduce the disruption of quarantines.”
