On Friday, the SHHS Trap Shooting Team received a donation from family and friends of Ethan “Gibby” Marshall in his memory.

Two 12 Gauge Over/Under CZ-USA Shotguns were donated to the SHHS Trap Shooting Team in honor of “Gibby” who was a team member from 2016 to 2020. Ethan “Gibby” Marshall was a 2020 graduate of Sloan Hendrix High School and passed away unexpectedly in January 2021.

The donations were made possible by Danny Hufstedler, Darran Hufstedler, Raymond Hardage, Caleb Hufstedler, Brody Hufstedler, Daniel Poteet and David Burrow all of HiSpec Tooling in Imboden along with Randall and Kay Inness.

The family and friends say they will continue to donate to the team yearly in Ethan “Gibby” Marshall honor. The shotguns will help those who would like to participate in the sport but may not have the financial means to purchase their own shotguns.

A scholarship was also established by Sloan Hendrix in honor of Ethan “Gibby” Marshall as well, it is awarded to a senior pursuing a vocational career. If you’d like to donate to this scholarship you can contact the superintendent’s office.
