Tyler Lee Ross Steen, age 21, and Jonathyn Albert Whitlock, age 19, both of Pocahontas were arrested after the Tuesday night pursuit that ended with both suspects fleeing on foot after the stolen vehicle they were in possession of was disabled by Ravenden police.

Pocahontas police received a call Tuesday night reporting a break in at a house.
Police later spotted the suspect vehicle on Hwy 62 and pursued it through Imboden to Ravenden when Ravenden police threw out spike strips.

Steen and Whitlock were arrested after search dogs were brought in from ADC and a search was conducted. Both are charged with suspicion of aggravated residential burglary, possession of firearms by certain persons, aggravated assault, theft of property, theft by receiving in a vehicle, and fleeing.

Steen and Whitlock are being held in the Randolph County Jail.
