A man who was charged with possessing 90 counts of distributing, possession or viewing sexually explicit images involving children was sentenced to 15 years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections.
Chief Deputy Charley Melton with the Izard County Sheriff’s Office said Gavin R. Winter, age 37, of Melbourne was arrested in October of last year after it was learned he had uploaded 51 images that were child explicit in nature.
On August 18, a search warrant was obtained by Cpl. Jackie Stinnett with the Arkansas State Police and 90 images that were child explicit in nature were found along with 79 images of teenage females that were not explicit.
Winter is currently awaiting transfer to the ADC, Melton said.
