Details are being released after a pursuit through Sharp County ends with a suspects death on Wednesday evening.
Sources say the pursuit started in Highland ended in Hardy around 8:45 pm with the fleeing vehicle hitting a Hardy PD vehicle at the intersection of Hwy 63/62 intersection at the McDonalds.
The vehicle reportedly rammed a Hardy police car and came to rest in a nearby ditch.
Officers then heard a gunshot from the vehicle, it appears that the suspect, whose name is being withheld, shot himself.
The incident is still under investigation by Hardy PD and Sharp County Sheriff’s Office.
