Those snow days decided to hit us all at once this February in Arkansas. It looks to be another week of winter weather precipitation with temperatures that could be as low as 1 degree in the early morning hours this Tuesday. We are looking at more snowfall on Wednesday with low temperatures. We are currently under both a winter weather warning and wind chill advisory.
If you or your kids decide to go out and play in the snow. Know that this is not your typical cold. Once sub-zero temps hit, it takes about 30 minutes for exposed skin to get frostbite. At 15 below with a little bit of wind, frostbite is possible within 15 minutes. Please if you go out to play you may want to limit your time out, dress in layers and cover as much skin as possible.
