According to the Izard County Chief Deputy Charley Melton on January 5, Lewie Elmer Branscum, age 34 of Calico Rock, was arrested by Deputy Tyler Webb on a pick-up order for contempt of court. The pick-up order was issued after Branscum walked away from a facility that he was conditionally released to. His original charge was theft by receiving, a class “d” felony. He is also being charged as a habitual offender on that charge. Branscum is scheduled to appear in the Izard County Circuit Court on January 20. He is being held with no bond.

On January 6 Clint Moore, age 60 of Horseshoe Bend, was arrested on a warrant, for possession of drug paraphernalia, a class “d” felony, that stemmed from a traffic stop for a busted tail light made by Deputy J Barnes on January 1 in Horseshoe Bend. During the traffic stop Moore gave Barnes permission to search the vehicle. Barnes located a glass smoking device that Moore stated was used to smoke methamphetamine. Barnes also located a metal smoking device in the vehicle as well. Moore is scheduled to appear in the Izard County Circuit Court on January 20

On January 4 Jered Sisco, age 35 of Cherokee, was arrested by Deputy J Barnes for fictious license plate, no proof of insurance, and possession of a controlled substance. Sisco is scheduled to appear in the Izard County District Court on February 4.

On January 4 Bobby Gray, age 54 of Oxford, was arrested by Trooper Lively for driving left of center and DWI. Gray is scheduled to appear in the Izard County District Court on February 4.

On January 7 Macey Carter, age 25 of Melbourne, was arrested by Sgt. Steve Davidson on a warrant for violation of Arkansas hot check law. Carter appeared in the Izard County District Court on the same day.

On January 7 Tommy Franks, age 55 of Calico Rock, was arrested by Arkansas Department of Community Corrections for parole violations.

On January 8 Timothy Reeves, age 57 of Melbourne, was arrested by Deputy Jason Jordan for criminal mischief, DWI, resisting arrest, obstructing governmental operations, and refusal to submit to a chemical test. Reeves is scheduled to appear in the Izard County District Court on February 18.
