According to reports from The head of the U.S. effort to produce a coronavirus vaccine says the first immunizations could be available by mid-December.

A FDA committee announced they will meet Dec. 10th to discuss Pfizer’s request for an emergency use authorization for its COVID-19 vaccine.

Pfizer announced that the vaccine appears 95% effective at preventing mild to severe COVID-19.

Operation Warp Speed, the coronavirus vaccine program, says they plan on shipping the vaccines to the states within 24 hours of FDA approval which is expected.

Reports state vaccinations would begin on the second day after approval.
