POCAHONTAS, AR. Nov. 13— High school students may register for Spring 2021 courses at BRTC. Students may enroll in concurrent and/or Career & Technical Center courses that will begin on January 11, 2021.

Concurrent students attend at a discounted rate or may be eligible for the Arkansas Concurrent Challenge Scholarshipwhich allows students to enroll in two 3-credit hour courses each semester with the tuition totally covered by the scholarship.

High school juniors and seniors may enroll Career & Technical Center. Courses are also available in the following programs: Auto Collision Repair, Industrial Electronics/Electricity, Phlebotomy, Machine Tool Technology, and Welding. CTC courses are funded by the Office of Skills Development, so there is absolutely no charge to the students.

Black River Technical College is a 2-year community college in Pocahontas and Paragould, which offers associates degrees and certificates in general education and technical and career education.  The College houses one of the state’s law enforcement training academies (LETA) and fire science academies.  BRTC has 2,500 full- and part-time students.
