Valerie Jo (Tyson) Timmons, 37 of Bono, walked through Heaven’s gate. There she was handed her baby boy Oliver Andrew Timmons, 8 weeks. On August 23, 2020; a horrible auto accident claimed Oliver’s life and on August 28, 2020 Valerie succumbed to the injuries she received on that night. 

Valerie was born November 26, 1982 in Clinton, OK; daughter of Johnny and Tammy Whitley Tyson. She was a life-long resident of Lawrence County. Valerie was united in marriage to Paul Timmons on May 28, 2016. She earned her degree in early childhood education from Arkansas State University in 2007; and began her calling in teaching preschool at Walnut Ridge School from 2007 – 2020. Her imprint will be forever made on so many of her students and co-workers. 

Oliver was born July 8, 2020 in Jonesboro. His time here with us was cut short, very few got to see him, hold him and love on him. His memory will always be in our hearts and minds. He is forever with his mother now. 

Survivors include (Husband and Father) Paul Timmons of the Home; (Daughter and Sisters) Carlie Jo Priest of the home and Elizabeth Timmons of Texas; (Parents and Maternal Grandparents) Johnny and Tammy Tyson of Bono; (Sister and Aunt) Vanessa (Brock) Kendall of Jonesboro; (Nephew and Cousin) Ezra Kendall; (Paternal Grandmother and Paternal great grandmother) Armilda Tyson of Powhatan; a multitude of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and extended family and friends. 

Celebration of their Lives will held be Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 1 P.M. in the Walnut Ridge High School Gymnasium with Brock Kendall and Aaron Dodson officiating. Pallbearers will be her former students, Mason Andrews, Parker Brand, Korwin Johnson, Ty Flippo, Logan Sain, and Walker Ward. Honorary Pallbearers are all her former students. Interment will follow in the Powhatan Cemetery. 

Visitation will be from 11 A.M. till 1 P.M. Saturday. 

In lieu of flowers, Family ask for donations to be made to Mrs. Valerie and Baby Oliver, New Beginnings Scholarship @ 1st National Bank of Lawrence Coun
