A 29 year old Gamaliel man is behind bars in Baxter County after an incident where a deputy was assaulted.
According to reports 28 year old Jacob John Gardner was arrested after an incident Sunday where he attacked a deputy. What began as a misdemeanor offense escalated into felony charges after the attack.
Gardner was charged with 2nd degree assault on a law enforcement officer, disorderly conduct, refusal to submit to arrest, obstructing operations and public intoxication.
