Hannah Anderson of Imboden has been awarded the Sylvia Cagle Single Parent Scholarship.  In honor of his mother, Sylvia, this $500 scholarship is provided by Darrell Cagle.  Qualifying applicants must be residents of Randolph County, single parents-male or female, and must be non-traditional students.  Recipients are chosen by lottery draw.

Anderson is the daughter of Steven and Becky Anderson and mother of Madalin Rose Anderson. She is a 2016 graduate, and is currently seeking a degree in Criminal Justice.

Black River Technical College is a 2-year community college in Pocahontas and Paragould, which offers associates degrees and certificates in general education and technical and career education.  The College houses one of the state’s law enforcement training academies (LETA) and fire science academies.  BRTC has 2,500 full- and part-time students.
