Details are still coming in, here’s what we know. Around 10 am Thursday the Lawrence County Dispatch was advised of a body discovered in a camper located on a private road off Lawrence 274 outside Smithville . Reports from the scene indicated a large amount of blood around the subject who was believed to be deceased. A medical unit from ProMed ambulance was dispatched along with a deputy to the scene.
At 10:12 am LCSO Deputies arrived on scene and advised the scene was safe for medical personnel to approach. The Lawrence County Coroner was requested along with the Lawrence County Criminal Investigators.
The scene is still being processed at this time, Lawrence County CID has also been joined by investigators from the Arkansas State Police.
We have no further information but have contacted the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Investigators requesting an update when developments become available.
