Lawrence Memorial Hospital (LMH) will temporarily change their Main Entrance to the hospital in preparation of their new MRI system beginning the evening of Tuesday, May 5th. Construction for this phase of the project is expected to be completed by the end of the day Thursday and LMH will return back to their Main COVID entrance, located at the Main Emergency Room entrance, on Friday, May 8th.
LMH will continue limit the number of publicly-available entrances to enforce our current visitor policy. To provide even further protection, individuals will undergo screenings at this entry before receiving admittance. This precautionary effort will allow us to be in compliance with the most up to date CDC and health department guidelines amid growing concerns an infected individual could unintentionally expose vulnerable patients, hospital employees, and visitors to COVID-19.
Josh Conlee, President noted that LMH will continue to operate one 24/7 entrance, keeping the main Hospital entrance open for employees, visitors, and patients seeking outpatient or emergency care.
“We know changes can create confusion, and we’re committed to making this temporarily change as painless as possible,” Conlee said. Conlee added that LMH employees stand ready to help those needing assistance or directions.
“Lawrence Memorial takes pride in its welcoming environment,” he said, “and we don’t expect that to change
