Drew and Hot Springs counties added today

Arkansas Secretary of Health Nate Smith stated today that in order for us to be successful in Arkansas to slow the upward trend line that no more than  10 or fewer people should congregate and to avoid social gatherings. Arkansas residents are urged to follow the guidelines set forth by the Arkansas Department of Health. These guidelines will be changed to a directive by the ADH.

In public areas such as grocery store people are urged to keep a distance of 6 feet between yourself and others.

PREVENTING THE SPREAD OF COVID-19
How can you help prevent the spread of COVID-19?


– Wash Your Hands Often. It is recommended to wash for 20-30 seconds using soap and water or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60 percent alcohol.- 

Cover Your Cough.
If a tissue is not within reach, use your elbow to prevent the spread of germs.


 Avoid Touching Your Face. Do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands.

 Use Non-Contact Greetings. Do not shake hands, and keep a distance of at least six feet between yourself and others.


 Clean “High-Touch” Surfaces Thoroughly and Frequently. High-touch surfaces include doorknobs, tables, desks, handrails, countertops, toilets, light switches, handles, faucets, sinks, phones and keyboards.


 Stay Home if You Are Sick or Have a Sick Family Member.

If you have developed a fever, cough or shortness of breath or believe you have been exposed to COVID-19, you should self-isolate at home and contact your healthcare provider. Your healthcare provider will decide if you need to be tested for COVID-19 based on your symptoms, known exposures and other risk factors. Some providers also have online and phone screening tools.
