Great Backyard Bird Count -Walk through the Woods

February 15th & 16th

Join Davidsonville Historic State Park staff for a winter walk through the woods on February 15th from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. OR February 16thfrom 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.  Whether a novice or expert birder, all are welcome to help identify and count birds for the Great Backyard Bird Count. Dress appropriately for the weather and, if available, bring your binoculars and bird field guide. Meeting place: Visitor Center. No fee.

For the Birds – Kid’s Craft

February 15th

Join park staff for a kid’s craft that is really for the birds! Starting at 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Davidsonville visitor center, kid’s will make bird feeders to place in their backyards. The feeders will be a great way to get kids interested in and learn to identify backyard birds! Supplies will be limited, and fee will be $2 per feeder.
