At 5:31 pm on Wednesday the Lawrence County Dispatch received a 911 call reporting a one vehicle accident with the driver laying outside the vehicle on Hwy 63 just north of Imboden.
Imboden Volunteer Fire Dept along with ProMed Ambulance of Imboden responded and were on scene within a matter of a few minutes.
A medical helicopter was requested but unable to fly due to weather in the area.
Traffic was delayed due to the wreckage, Dail’s Wrecker was called to remove the vehicle.
The accident is being investigated by the Lawrence County Sheriffs Office, the injured driver was transported to St. Bernard’s Medical Center.
Imboden Fire was clear of the scene at 6:05 pm.
