Shortly before 8 p.m. on Tuesday night Lawrence County dispatch received a 911 call reporting a domestic disturbance on the 200 block of Lawrence 224 between a male and female. Lawrence County Sheriff’s deputies assisted by Arkansas State Police responded to the area, a medical unit was also dispatched to stage in the area at a safe distance. Deputies were advised that the male subject involved in the incident was located inside the house.
At 8:23 pm a suspect later identified as 50 year old Greg Broadwater was detained as officers conducted their investigation,The female involved in the incident was checked by medics at the scene.
Broadwater was arrested and charged with battery 3rd degree and transported to the Lawrence County Detention center to await a bond hearing and court date.
