Shortly after 7:30pm on Wednesday the Lawrence County Dispatch received a 911 reporting a possible structure fire on the 600 block of Walnut Street. The fire was called in by a neighbor.
Black Rock Fire responded with two trucks and several firefighters. A Black Rock Police Officer in the area was quickly on scene relaying information to the fire department.
The structure was totally involved when firefighters arrived on scene. The resident of the home was out of town at the time of the fire, no injuries were reported but the structure was a total loss. The cause of the fire is not known at this time.
