Boat enthusiast from all over Arkansas and some from out of state gathered in Black Rock where race promoters started a multi county race. 28 boats and boat crews launched covering several race classes of boats.
If you’ve never seen these boats on the river you’d be amazed at the speed these boats reach. Some had a single pilot while others included riders for the several hour trip.
Arkansas Game and Fish along with boats from Sheriff Yates LCSO Dive Team were staged along the Black River for safety and for one racer facing motor problems a tow back to the boat ramp.
