Henry Boyce, Third Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney, announced today the addition of Jerrod Slayton as a new Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for the Third District.  Slayton, 31, of Jonesboro was sworn in by Third Judicial District Circuit Judge Harold S. Erwin in the Jackson County courtroom Monday afternoon.

 

​Slayton is a graduate of the University of Arkansas William H. Bowen School of Law and has been a licensed attorney for five years.  He began his practice in Fayetteville and returned home to Northeast Arkansas where he maintains a private practice as well as now serving as a part-time deputy prosecutor.  

 

​Boyce said, “I am very proud to bring Jerrod into service of the people of the Third Judicial District.  He is a seasoned attorney who brings character to the task.”
