At 4:25 pm the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office and Imboden Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched to 109 North Virginia Street after the Lawrence County Dispatch Center received a call reporting a resident at that address had intentionally shot himself in the face with a shotgun.
 
Firefighters arrived on scene and found the victim alive but in serious condition. Survival Flight was requested to land a helicopter at the Imboden Fire Station. The victim was loaded in an ambulance and transported to the landing zone then flown to a Memphis hospital for treatment of injuries.
 
Investigators from the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office went to the house to investigate the shooting.
 
The victim’s name and condition have not been released by the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office CID at this time.
