NEA Game Fest is this weekend October 13th and 14th.

The Northeast Arkansas Gamers Guild will host NEA Game Fest in Hoxie, Friday and Saturday, to benefit The Children’s Shelter.

NEA Game Fest is a two-day convention featuring a variety of tabletop gaming events, including demos, tournaments and open play.

A library of over 100 board games will be available to play at the event. Included in the library will be about 50 board games that will be given away through random drawing. Additional prizes will be given away throughout the event.

The convention will be held at the Hoxie Service Center, 500 SW Lawrence. Convention doors will open Friday at 2 p.m. and Saturday at 9 a.m. The convention will run until midnight both nights.

All money raised during the convention will go directly to The Children’s Shelter in Walnut Ridge. The event will feature a silent auction, which will include a variety of tabletop gaming items. Debit and credit cards cannot be processed on site, but checks made out to the shelter will be accepted for purchases made during the convention.

Events, such as a Magic: the Gathering booster draft, a Guildball tournament, roleplay sessions and more will be hosted throughout the convention and can be viewed and signed up for online with a badge purchase. Events can also be signed up for at the convention if seats are still available.

Badges are available online at www.neagamefest.com with some $10 adult early bird badges still available. Badges may also be purchased at the door. Regular adult badges are $15 each. Children’s badges, age 6-15, are available for $5 each. Children 5 and under are free.
