One transported to the hospital after early morning wreck in Black Rock

At 1:05 am on Thursday Lawrence County Dispatch received a 911 call reporting a one vehicle accident with possible injuries in the 4000 block of Highway 117 at Black Rock.

The Black Rock Fire Department, Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, and an ambulance from AET were dispatched to the scene.
Responders arrived on scene and found two people in the vehicle, which had left the roadway and struck a tree. Both airbags had deployed, the female driver was shaken up but wasn’t injured, the male passenger was complaining of back pain and was transported to a Jonesboro hospital for treatment. The accident was investigated by the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office. Cook’s Wrecker Service of Walnut Ridge was called to remove the vehicle.
