At 9:36 pm the Lawrence County Dispatch and Randolph County Dispatch both received reports of a multi vehicle accident at the end of the Eleven Point Bridge on Hwy 62 between Imboden and Pocahontas. Imboden Volunteer Fire Department, Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, Pro-Med Ambulance and AET Ambulance were all dispatched to the scene. Medical helicopters were requested by the ambulance services but later turned back after crews arrived on scene and evaluated the injured.
 
At 9:47 pm Imboden Fire and ambulances were on scene, Hwy 62 was completely closed due to wreckage. Three were transported to Five Rivers Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
 
According to Imboden Fire Chief Jim Jones the accident occurred when a vehicle heading north on Hwy 62 struck a deer causing a second vehicle to rear end the first vehicle and veer into oncoming traffic hitting a third vehicle with 7 occupants head on. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies also responded to the scene to assist with traffic control as the injured were treated.
 
The accident is being investigated by the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office and Arkansas State Police. Imboden was back in service at 10:34 pm, crews from Dail’s Wrecker Service of Ravenden were still on scene removing damaged vehicles and clearing the highway.
